2. Cookies Policy

Last updated: 15th October 2026

We only place analytics cookies on your device if you accept them in our cookie banner. Cookies that are strictly necessary for the website to work are always placed.

2.1 What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Similar technologies, such as browser local storage, work in the same way, and we refer to them all as “cookies” in this policy.

2.2 Who sets them

Our website is built and hosted on Squarespace. Most of the cookies below are set by Squarespace on our behalf. Our contact, newsletter and research-paper forms are provided by HubSpot, which can also set cookies (see 2.5). We do not use advertising cookies or Google Analytics. Squarespace’s cookie banner shows a “Marketing” option as standard, but no marketing cookies are placed whatever you choose.

2.3 Strictly necessary cookies

These are needed for the website to work securely and to remember your cookie choices. The law allows us to use them without consent. You can block them in your browser, but parts of the site may then not work.

2.4 Analytics cookies (only with your consent)

If you click “Accept”, Squarespace places the cookies below to give us statistics on how the site is used, such as visitor numbers, pages viewed and how visitors found us. We use these reports only to improve the website, not to identify you or advertise to you. If you click “Decline”, none of these cookies are placed.

The information these cookies collect, including your IP address and device details, is personal data. Our Privacy Policy explains how it is handled.

2.5 HubSpot cookies (only with your consent)

Our forms are provided by HubSpot, the system we use to manage enquiries, mailing lists and research requests. If you accept non-essential cookies, HubSpot places the cookies below. They let us recognise returning visitors, link a form you submit to your earlier visits to our site, and avoid duplicate records. If you decline, these cookies are not placed and the forms still work.

HubSpot’s content delivery network, Cloudflare, may also set strictly necessary security cookies (__cf_bm, cfruid, cfuvid) to protect the forms from bots and abuse. These last 30 minutes or the session.

2.6 Changing your choice

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the Cookie settings link in the website footer. You can also delete or block cookies through your browser settings; aboutcookies.org explains how for most browsers.
