Lachlan joined Inalytics in March 2018.
He graduated from Durham University in 1986 with a Joint Honours degree in Mathematics and Economics.
Previously he was Global Head of Transition Management at BlackRock and led a 50+ team located in London, San Francisco, New York, Boston, Hong Kong, Sydney and Tokyo. He was a member of BlackRock’s Trading and Liquidity Strategies Group Executive Committee. The transition management team was responsible for providing risk-managed solutions to institutional investors undergoing portfolio reorganisations across all major asset classes. In 2016 the team completed $466bn of transitions for clients and was widely recognised as the leading global provider. Successful transitions included mandates for many of the largest and most complex global Public and Private Pension Funds, Sovereign Wealth Funds, Insurance Companies and Wealth Managers.
Prior to working at BlackRock Lachlan was a Senior Managing Director at State Street and head of their transition management business in Europe from 2000 to 2007.
He started his career at the investment arm of Royal & Sun Alliance (RSA) specialising in derivatives. Over his 14 years at RSA he held various roles including managing funds and management positions.
